Wingate University > Computers > Help Pages > Setting Up an External E-mail Client for IRISLink

An external e-mail client must be configured on your computer to send e-mail messages from within IRISLink. E-mail clients such as Outlook Express, Netscape Communicator, Microsoft Outlook, or Eudora could be configured to work with IRISLink. Web-based e-mail clients such as Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL mail or Wingate WebMail (http://mail.wingate.edu:8383) will not work with IRISLink.

Outlook Express comes bundled with Internet Explorer and is very easy to configure; however, should you prefer something other than Outlook Express, the information below can be used in other e-mail clients.
