Event to honor the memory of Harry Sherwood

Event at Wingate University to honor the memory of Harry Sherwood
Wingate, N.C. -- Wingate University will honor the memory of Harry
Sherwood at the annual Alumni and Friends Award Dinner during
Homecoming on Friday evening, Oct. 29. The public event will begin
with a reception at 6 p.m. in LaVerne Dining Hall followed by dinner
at 7 p.m. Tickets for this special event are $25 per person.
Sherwood arrived in Wingate in 1962 to teach math and served Wingate
College, Wingate University and Union County with enthusiasm and
leadership during his lifetime. Guests will have an opportunity to
make a gift to the Harry Sherwood Endowed Scholarship to benefit
Wingate University students from Union County.
