Feminist for Life president speaking at Wingate University

Wingate, NC – Feminists for Life President Serrin Foster will present “The Feminist Case Against Abortion” on the Wingate University campus. Her lecture will be held in Helms Forum in the Dickerson-Palmer Center on Tuesday, March 13 at 11 a.m.

Foster’s lecture, sponsored by Catholics on Campus, will address pro-life feminism. Her speech has been included in the anthology of Women’s Rights published in 2001.

She has led Feminists for Life of America since 1994. Under her leadership, Feminists for Life successfully advocated benefits for poor and pregnant women through the State Child Health Insurance Program and helped introduce legislation – The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Pregnant and Parenting Student Services Act – that inspired Pregnancy Assistance Fund grants awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service.
