Special guest to perform at Wingate University on Feb. 4

Wingate, N.C. – Wingate University will have a special guest artist recital with Wiff Rudd, trumpet soloist, on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in McGee Theater of the Batte Center on campus. Admission is free.

Wiff joined the faculty of Baylor University’s School of Music in 2002 as Professor of Trumpet and Brass Division Coordinator. In 2010, he received Baylor’s Outstanding Faculty Award in Teaching and was named the Centennial Professor. He has performed nationally and internationally in concert and presented clinics/master classes at more than 300 colleges, universities and conservatories. Rudd, who lives in Woodway, TX, is affiliated with the International Trumpet Guild, the Texas Music Educators Association and has been a Yamaha Performing Artist since 1988.
