Wingate, NC – Wingate University will sponsor Be Hope 2 Her, an event to raise awareness of international poverty, on April 14 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in front of the Dickson- Palmer Student Center on Camden Street.
Student participants will carry water buckets on their heads to simulate the lives of many Africans. The event will also help raise money for NURU International to help fund the construction of wells throughout Africa.

The Monroe-Union Breakfast Rotary Club has donated $150 for the cause and challenges other civic organizations to support the project.
Members of the Wingate community are welcome to participate. For more information, contact Effie Stansbery at: elstansbery@wingate.edu.
