Wingate University announces new campus at Ballantyne

Charlotte, N.C. –Wingate University President Jerry E. McGee announced today that a new Ballantyne Campus will begin classes in August. Current programs at the Matthews Campus will move during the summer to Ballantyne Corporate Park.

Educational offerings in Ballantyne will include MBA, graduate programs in sport management and education, an undergraduate program for working adults, and other professional and continuing education programs.

At today’s press conference, Dr. Robert Supernaw, vice president for graduate and professional programs at Wingate University, spoke to the crowd who gathered. “We believe that the time is right for the launch of our newest campus right here in Charlotte,” he said. “We’ll be opening our doors in the building you see behind me, the Harris Building on August 26, which is the first day of the fall semester.

The 13,657 square ft. facility will consist of 10 classrooms, administrative offices and a computer lab. Ballantyne Corporate Park has 250 companies with more than 13,000 employees. The Ballantyne area offers numerous amenities including: restaurants, retail shops, a Y Fitness Center and landscaped walking trails.
