Wingate University appoints local businessman to the Board of Trustees

Wingate, NC – Wingate University announces the appointment of James Wilson, Jr. to the Board of Trustees. Wilson, who lives in Spartanburg, S.C., works as CFO/treasurer of J M Smith Corporation. A member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, he is very active in the community.
Wilson has been a part of the Spartanburg area Chamber of Commerce as well as Westgate Training and Consultation Network. He served as a board member and treasurer of Mobile Meals and currently serves in those positions at AMI Kids White Pines and J M Smith Foundation.
Wilson’s term on the Board of Trustees at Wingate University will run until Dec. 31, 2014. The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the University with responsibilities to include setting policy.
