Wingate University Board of Trustee member begins third term

Wingate, N.C. – Joe Patterson, of Charlotte, N.C., begins his third term in January 2014 on the Board of Trustees at Wingate University. He is currently the Board Chair and will serve in that role through 2014.

Patterson is retired deputy chairman of Hoechst Celanese Corporation. A member of St. John’s Baptist Church, he has served on the finance, recreation and personnel committees.

The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the University with responsibilities to include setting policy. Thirty-six trustees serve on the board, with an additional 12 lifetime members.
