Wingate University celebrates Family Weekend with illusionist Jason Bishop

Wingate, N.C. – Internationally-recognized illusionist Jason Bishop will bring his large-scale illusions and award-winning sleight of hand magic to The Batte Center on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 as part of Wingate University’s Family Weekend celebration.

Featuring “close-up” magic projected onto LCD screens for the audience to have a clear view of every detail, Bishop is currently the only illusionist in the United States to perform the Double Levitation, Plasma illusion and Op-Art on tour. He has appeared at notable venues including Disney Cruise Lines and Celebrity Cruise Lines in Europe and Alaska and the Magic Castle in Hollywood, Calif. The show currently tours at performing arts centers and theaters across the nation.

The Batte Center
Opened in 1999, the George A. Batte, Jr. Fine Arts Center presents events in the McGee Theatre, Plyer-Griffin Recital Hall and Austin Auditorium.
