Wingate University celebrates Founders’ Day

Wingate, NC – Wingate University will celebrate their annual Founders’ Day on Maundy Thursday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at the George A. Batte, Jr. Fine Arts Center. Dr. G. Byrns Coleman, religion professor, will be the guest speaker.
The University has held a Founders’ Day service for many years. “It’s a day of revisiting our past,” said Dr. Wayne Wike, one of the event organizers. “And seeing how our past influences our future.” Contact Wayne Wike at 704-233-8319 for more information on Founders’ Day.
Wingate University
Wingate University, ranked as the 8th "best value" in the South by U.S. News & World Report, serves more than 2,500 students on three campuses in Wingate, Matthews and Hendersonville, N.C.
