Wingate University celebrates National PA Week with Open House

Wingate, N.C. – In conjunction with National PA Week, Wingate University will hold an Open House to showcase the William and Loretta Harris Department of Physician Assistant Studies on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Levine College of Health Sciences. Prospective students, members of the community, alumni and friends of the University are invited to attend. No RSVP is required. The Physician Assistant program at Wingate University accepted the first class of students in 2008 and is one of the more recent PA programs to open in North Carolina. The inaugural class of PA students graduated in December 2010. The program continues to grow as the profession continues to grow to meet the needs of the medical community. Many graduates are working in the greater Charlotte area in Family and Internal Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics and Emergency Medicine.
