Wingate University Friends of the Library Fall Tea with Marybeth Whalen

Wingate, N.C. – Wingate University's Friends of the Library will host Christian fiction author, Marybeth Whalen on Friday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ethel K. Smith Library. The event includes cupcakes, tea, an author talk, book sales and signing. Whalen's novels include "The Mailbox," "She Makes It Look Easy" and "The Guest Book." Whalen also directs the book club blog, She reads and contributes to the southern fiction blog, Southern Belle View.
"The Friends of the Library act as a champion of the Ethel K. Smith Library by providing promotional, community and financial support," said Christy Inge, Access Services Manager for the Ethel K. Smith Library. "They've brought many notable authors, like Whalen, to campus." Tickets are $20 with limited spaces available.
