Wingate University selects Lexington resident to serve on Board of Trustees

Wingate, N.C. – Frank Cagle, of Lexington, N.C., has been appointed to the 2013 Wingate University Board of Trustees. He will serve a four-year term.

Cagle, a recently retired BB&T executive, was a four-time recipient of the BB&T Sterling Performance Award. An active member in the community, he currently serves as a member of Kiwanis Club and is a United Way board member. He is a former chairman of the Board of Visitors at Wingate University.
The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the University with responsibilities to include setting policy. Cagle is a 1971 graduate of Wingate University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts.
