Wingate, N.C. – Wingate University Theatre will perform The Frog Prince on Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. and Feb. 20, at 3 p.m. in the George A.
Batte, Jr. Fine Arts Center on campus.
The humorous and charming play about the famous bewitched Prince is adapted from the story by the Brothers Grimm. It pokes fun at pomposity, brings a whimsical and often confused fairy godmother on the scene, along with the fair young Princess who decides to adopt a most unusual pet -- a large frog.
The show is being produced, directed and performed by Wingate University students.
Tickets for adults are $5 and can be purchased online at www.wingate.edu/culture or by phone at 704-233-8316. Students and children are free.
Founded in 1896, Wingate University is a private four-year co-educational institution of 2,159 students offering active learning opportunities through personalized instruction, world travel, career discovery and community service.
