Wingate University to hold choral music Cabaret Dinner and silent auction

Wingate, N.C. – The Wingate University Singers will host a cabaret dinner and silent auction at Wingate Baptist Church in Wingate at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21. Proceeds from the event will help fund a cultural exchange tour in May to South Africa for 30 Wingate choral music students. The trip will include visits to orphanages in Soweto and visits with South African college students who share their passion for singing.

In addition to great food at the Cabaret dinner, guests will enjoy live performances by some of Wingate’s finest talent. Tickets are $15 and available in advance by calling 704-233-8310 or by contacting a choir member. A limited amount of tickets will be available at the door.

Founded in 1896, Wingate University is a private four-year co-educational institution of 2,159 students offering active learning opportunities through personalized instruction, world travel, career discovery, and community service.

Bulldog student-athletes compete in 19 NCAA Division II sports. Wingate University has won the South Atlantic Conference Echols Athletic Excellence Award for the past three years.
