Wingate University Wind Ensemble performs holiday concert

Wingate, N.C. –The Wingate University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Dawn Perry, will perform a holiday concert on Monday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in McGee Auditorium of the Batte Center on campus. The concert is titled "Christmas Around the World" and will feature traditional Christmas tunes from many different countries.

Wind Ensemble
The Wind Ensemble is the premiere instrumental ensemble of the University with focus on the performance of standard and new band repertoire. The ensemble has commissioned and performed the premiere of two works that are now published and will be performing a third commissioned work in April 2013 with the composer, Dr. Jack Stamp, in attendance. Enrollment in the Wind Ensemble is required of instrumental music majors and is currently open to any non-majors and community members by audition with the director.
