Ebonie Cunningham Stringer
2/23/2012
Wingate University began offering a criminal justice major in the fall. The U.S. Department of Labor has predicted that by 2010 there was more than a 29% increase in the demand for FBI agents, police officers, private detectives, U.S. customs agents and many others. The University is responding to this growing need by offering the new program. The bachelor's degree in criminal justice offers a specialized overview of the criminal justice system, preparing graduates for entry-level or middle-management positions in a broad array of criminal justice environments.
Ebonie Cunningham Stringer brings her expertise to campus as Assistant Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice. A graduate of Purdue University, Dr. Stringer’s areas of expertise include women and crime, mothers in prison and families in prison.
