"What gets me up in the morning is helping people." said Michael Reynolds, Wingate's director of residence life.

Reynolds has been enjoying various positions within Wingate's Residence Life Office over the last five years. He served as the assistant director of residence life and the associate director of residence life for two years each before taking the job as director this past August. In his role as director, Reynolds manages all aspects of residential life and housing operations on the Wingate campus.

Originally from Cleveland, he attended Kenyon College as an American studies major in 2006 before earning his Masters of Education at Kent State University in 2008.

He has always been passionate about working with college students but was open to different opportunities to fulfill this passion. He is grateful for the opportunity to work at a place like Wingate. "I'm happy doing this," said Reynolds. "I always wanted a place where people are more interested in me then what I'm producing. We work as a team."

When asked about his favorite memory he responded "Picking a favorite memory is like picking a favorite child, it's like asking who I love most!"
Reynolds' advises students to "Use your time at Wingate to expose yourself to as many different people, events and experiences as you possibly can," he said. "If I could do college over again, I would step out my comfort zone more."
