The purpose of the Department of Biology is to provide an excellent educational opportunity in the biological sciences for our students. In keeping with the high standards required for admission to professional and graduate schools, Wingate's biology curriculum is a rigorous and challenging program. Graduates have a broad but strong background in the sciences, which provides them with excellent preparation for any number of future opportunities they wish to pursue.
