The Weekly Triangle, the campus newspaper, is produced on campus
in a publication lab equipped with eight computers. Students use
Quark Xpress and Adobe Photoshop software to produce pages. The
paper is printed at The Enquirer-Journal in Monroe, NC. A
photography laboratory is available for the newspaper staff and for
students working for The Gate, the campus yearbook.
Students have the opportunity to participate in television
programs produced by Wingate University Television and cablecast on
the Monroe, NC cable system. Our TV facilities include:
- Three-camera TV studio
- Hi-8, VHS and DVCPro digital cameras
- Audio recording via multi-track audio cassette and CD, Avio,
Avid and Casablanca non-linear editing
Speech Communication and Theatre
- Video recording and playback for direct performance feedback
- 250-seat theatre for student dramatic productions
