DEPARTMENT OF MODERN LANGUAGES

Language Laboratory

Located in Burnside-Dalton 303, the Language Laboratory houses fourteen computers equipped with headphones and microphones. The computers run editing software that allows students to check grammar and spelling, consult dictionaries and thesauri, and review grammatical concepts. Staffed by language tutors from the Academic Resource Center, students are welcome to drop in for help. The Laboratory also features a library with resources for language students and an area for group study. Modern Languages and Spanish majors, as well as French and Spanish minors, are welcome to use the laboratory at any time and may print class papers for free on the laser printer.
