Music Scholarship Audition Application

All students who wish to major in music at Wingate University must audition. You are encouraged to audition in person; however, an audition tape will be accepted if there is a reason you cannot audition on campus.

Accompanists
You may provide your own accompanist or a pianist from the Department of Music will be provided upon request. Rehearsal time with the accompanist will be scheduled prior to the audition.

Scholarships
The Department of Music awards annual music scholarships to incoming freshmen and transfers on the basis of the audition. Scholarships are renewable from year to you for students who remain in good academic standing and who fulfill the obligations of the Department of Music as stated in the Music Scholarship Award Form. Scholarship awards are not made until the application and admissions process is complete.

Audition Location
Auditions are held in the Recital Hall at the George A. Batte, Jr. Fine Arts Center on the Wingate University campus.
