HONORS STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

"The Wingate University Honors Program has given me the opportunity not only to take challenging, stimulating classes, but also to take part in interdisciplinary studies beyond the limits of my particular major. Classes such as Honors Seminar and Making of the Modern Mind have provided me with a wide-ranging exposure to different fields of thought. Additionally, the Honors Program has given me the chance to meet other students who share high academic standards."

Last spring, I was part of a group of Honors students that had the opportunity to eat dinner with Ms.

Robin Wright, a world-renowned journalist who has traveled the world. Meeting her was an eye-opening experience . She told us about her experiences covering the Iranian revolution in 1979 and in modern-day Iraq. Here was a person who had "been there and back" in one piece, told the world about what she saw, and was living a life that she truly loved. Doing exactly what you want is harder than a lot of people would like to admit, and meeting Ms. Wright inspired me to start chasing my dreams with more determination. This awesome experience was only possible through the Honors Program.
