Where to begin

Let’s see…where to begin.  My name is Dyana Cummings and I am part of a 12 person group participating in the Semester in London program that Wingate University offers all of its students. I am first and for most, totally, utterly, and completely ecstatic about spending an entire semester in London.  Who wouldn’t be though?

I thought that it might be a good idea to first fill you all in on who it is that is going this semester to London.  We have three guys and nine girls.  We have an Accounting major, an Art major, a Music major, a couple of History and English majors, and a couple of Psychology and Sociology majors.  Most of us are juniors, but there are a few seniors as well.

The other thing that I wanted to touch on is packing and getting ready to depart.  I have been planning for my departure to London all summer.  I thought that I would be a bit more stressed than I am but everything seems to just keeping falling into place-making it much easier to get ready.  My roommate and I have decided to pack together, this gives us four 50lb suitcases and two 40lb carry-ons to fill.  We have also decided to split the cost of things like Ramen noodles, shampoo and conditioner, soap, power converters, towels, etc.  This has helped limit my own cost as well as hers.  We have even decided to pack our clothes and shoes together (mind you we have been roommates before this as well) which has doubled each of our wardrobes.  Now you can see how efficient this packing system has started to turn out!! The last couple of my days here in the States will most definitely be filled with packing, organizing, and most of all, trying to find time to see all my friends and family before I fly out. So on that note, I am going to have to say goodbye and next time I write I will hopefully be in London and settled in!
