Hello Again! I
am writing from Copenhagen, Denmark, while I am on my study
abroad journey here. And I just wanted to give a recent update
on what will be happening in my life the next couple of weeks.
Midterms will
occur this week and although that is not exciting, what comes
after it definitely is. For almost the entire month of March, I
will finally have my chance to see the world. I will be taking
journeys from the United Kingdom all the way down to Hungary.
The first week
of my journey will begin with a long study tour with the
business class that I am in while in the DIS program. Through
the DIS program, each group of students is able to choose
different places to visit. Students that participate in the
business program, which is me, had the option of either going to
London/Brussels or Berlin/Prague. I will be going to London for
half of the week and Brussels for the other half. This trip, at
least for my program, is to visit different companies and get a
first hand experience of how businesses work in the European
Union.
The second week
of my spring break includes an adventure trip to the coast of
Ireland. I will spend the entire week there, doing different
kinds of activities such as rock climbing and surfing. We will
spend a night in Dublin and have a chance to just walk around. I
will have to give a more exclusive update once I get back, but I
know that it is going to be an experience I will never forget.
Now, the first
two weeks were planned with DIS, but the third week is more
independent. I will come home for Easter before I journey out
again. I will leave Monday for Budapest, Hungary, with one of
my classmates, Ted. We spend two nights in Budapest and will
see all the sights that we can absorb before heading to Vienna
by train. Another two days will be spent in Vienna and then by
train we go to Prague for another two days before flying back to
Copenhagen in time to celebrate my host brother, Christoffer’s,
birthday.
I have
mapped out the month of March for everyone. These next few
weeks will go by so fast, with all the excitement of trying new
things. I cannot believe that I will only have a little over a
month left on my stay here in Europe when I get back. I would
like to ask anyone that reads this if there is anything in
particular that they suggest seeing in any of the places that I
have listed, I would greatly appreciate it. Emails are always
welcome,
