Choral Ensembles at Wingate UniversityUniversity Singers
Wingate University’s large touring ensemble is an auditioned
choir that is open to all university students. It performs a wide
variety of genres including masterworks, 20th Century, spirituals,
multicultural, and gospel pieces.

Chamber Choir
Wingate University’s select choir is auditioned out of the
University Singers and performs a wide variety of repertoire,
focusing on a cappella works. In addition to the responsibilities of
performing in the University Singers, the Chamber Choir will go on a
two to three day tour in November.

Women’s Choir
This choir is a non-auditioned group for females (a placement
hearing is expected). This group will perform a wide variety of
repertoire written for the female voice and will focus on vocal
technique and development of musical skills.

Men’s Choir
(New for year 2008-2009) The newest choir is a non-auditioned group
for males (a placement hearing is expected). This group will perform
a wide variety of repertoire written for the male voice and will
focus on vocal technique and development of musical skills.
