COMMENCEMENT 2009

Graduate Programs Graduation Check List

 

¨  Stay in contact with Nancy Biedrzycki, Academic Advisor for Graduate Education Programs and MBA Program - 704-849-2132.

¨  Apply for graduation - applications are also available in the Metro Campus Office.

¨  Make sure all graduation requirements are met.

¨  Turn in substitution forms (if necessary).

¨  Submit official transcripts from other institutions (if necessary).

¨  Pass all of your fall/spring classes!

¨  Purchase your cap and "master" gown from the Campus Bookstore.

¨  Attend the Graduation Fair (TBA) at the Metro Campus.  (If you cannot attend the Graduation Fair, visit the Herff Jones website for more information on ordering your announcements, and contact Cindy Jordan in the Bookstore (704-233-8025 or jordan@wingate.edu for information on ordering your cap and gown.)

¨  Complete Student Loan Exit Counseling (if you have a student loan) - either in the Financial Aid Office or go to mapping-your-future.org by Nov. 1 (Dec. Grads) or April 1 (May Grads).

¨  Mail your announcements to family and friends.

¨  Clear all financial obligations with the Business Office prior to Monday, April 27th.

¨  You are invited to attend Baccalaureate on Thursday, April 23 – wear your cap and gown – line up at 9:00 a.m. in McGee Theatre (main campus).  This is an optional event for you.

¨  You are invited to attend Graduation Practice on Friday, May 8 – Academic Quadrangle (main campus).

¨  AUGUST 2009 GRADS:  You must be registered and paid in full for your summer school classes prior to April 27th if you plan to participate in Commencement.

¨  Congratulate yourself on your achievements!

¨  Watch your mail for Commencement Proof from Chappell Photography.

¨  Order your Commencement Video/DVD.  Contact Heather Horne, Director of Alumni Development, (hhorne@wingate.edu or 704-233-8120) for more information.
