(Remember you will not receive your diploma or degree until your Lyceum
requirement is met!)

Senior/Cap & Gown pictures - Nov. 4 & 5 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) - Ames Turnout (These are the
only days that Senior/Cap & Gown pictures will be taken!!)

Pass
all of your classes!

your exit exam with your department chair (Dec. grads - by Nov. 14; May grads -
by April 17)

your cap and gown from the Campus Bookstore (available after Spring Break 2009). Caps and gowns can be
purchased throughout the spring semester...don't wait until the last minute!

Attend the
Graduation Fair (December Graduates: Nov. 20, 2008; May/August Graduates:
Feb. 24-25, 2009) in Ames Turnout to prepare for graduation!
Representatives from various campus offices as well as a Herff Jones
representative will be present to assist students as they prepare for
graduation. If you cannot attend the Graduation Fair and would like to
order graduation announcements/class rings/etc., please visit the Herff Jones

Office
of Internships &Career Development will host this annual event on February 18th,
2009 from 4-6pm in LaVerne Banquet Hall. This 2-hour event will be open to both
Wingate University juniors and seniors. Upperclassmen will have the opportunity
to speak employers about job (full-time and part-time) and internship
opportunities, as well as a chance to polish their professional
communication/networking skills. The cost for the event for students is a meal
swipe from the student’s ID card. Students without a meal plan will pay $5.
Registration has begun online and students may continue to register through
January 16, 2009. (Student Registration:

A Resume CD will be given to each employer in attendance, and only students that
attend the event will be able to submit their resume for the CD. The deadline
for submitting a resume to be included in the Resume CD is January 16, 2009 as

The online Senior Graduate surveys are now available and will be
available until December 5th. Please expect an email from
On-Line Course Survey Manager with your login and password
information. This survey will only take a few moments of your time and your
feedback will allow the Office of Internships & Career Development to help those
in need of our services after graduation.

Student Loan Exit Counseling (if you have a student loan) - either in
the Financial Aid Office or go to

up for Graduation on Saturday, May 9 between the Library and Wingate
Baptist Church in your cap and gown at 8:00 a.m. The Commencement
ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. BA's and BFA's will line up on the
Library side of the street. BS's will line up on the Church side of the
street. Honor cords will be distributed on Commencement morning.
Remember, NO fraternity/sorority stoles, sashes, cords may be worn at
Commencement (only Baccalaureate).
