You may complete a request form in person at the Office of the
Registrar or print out this
transcript request form and mail or fax it
to the address or number on the bottom of the form.
PLEASE WRITE CLEARLY AND LEGIBLY.
Because we must
have the student's signature, we do not accept phone or email
requests. Transcripts cannot be electronically
transmitted. Transcripts cannot be faxed.
They are printed on specially encoded document paper that cannot
be reproduced or altered, to preserve the integrity of the
information enclosed. There is NO fee
for transcripts, with the exception of special
handling for current students (see below.)
If you are a third
party requesting a transcript, you must supply the Registrar's
Office with a written authorization from the record's owner and
a request with all of the information below.
Transcripts are
normally processed within 24 to 48 hours of receiving a request.
Please provide all of the following information to ensure quick
reliable service:
- Current Full Name;
- Full Name while attending Wingate
University.
- Dates of attendance.
- Social Security Number/Student ID
Number.
- Address(es) to which you need the transcript(s)
mailed.
- Your return address and telephone
number.
- Your signature authorizing us to
process your request.
Special Handling
In certain circumstances,
current students may request permission for special handling services.
For CURRENT STUDENTS ONLY, we
will FedEx a transcript anywhere in the continental United
States Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight, or by Economy
Two-Day. Please call for authorization. Charges for shipping overseas vary depending upon the
destination. Payment may be made by Visa or Mastercard. Your credit card will be billed by FedEx.
About the Transcript
An official transcript is printed on Scrip-Safe paper
and includes the University seal and the signature of the
Registrar. It is either given to the student or mailed in a
sealed envelope bearing a raised seal and the signature of the
Registrar.
All transcripts contain the following information: record
owner's name, ID number, social security number, birth date,
gender,
high school graduation date, any degrees/majors/minors earned,
any transfer work, the date the transcript was printed; and
course titles, grades, hours attempted, hours earned, quality
points, and GPAs (term and cumulative) for each semester in
attendance.
The transcript is the permanent record of a student's
academic history at Wingate University.
