WINGATE INTERNATIONAL GRANT FOR FACULTY
PURPOSE: Wingate International Grants for Faculty (WINGS/F) provides funding for Wingate University faculty members to participate in international research projects, workshops, conferences, seminars and other professional activities. The WINGS/F is generally awarded for professional development conducted outside U.S. borders.

ELIGIBILITY: Eligible applicants should be full-time undergraduate faculty. Visiting and adjunct faculty are not eligible.

DEADLINE: Priority will be given to those applications received by October 1 of each year.  The application may be for the current or upcoming fiscal year.  The fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31. 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Please submit the following materials via email to the Office of International Studies:
1.    Abbreviated C.V. (no more than two pages)
2.    Proposal (no more than four pages)
  • Description of proposed activity
  • Detailed dates
  • Detailed budget
  • Bearing on professional development, curriculum, and/or campus programs
  • Source and amount of external grants requested or received

SELECTION PROCESS: Applications will be reviewed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Chair of the International Studies Committee, the Director of International Affairs and the appropriate dean.  Awards will be announced no later than November 15. 

AWARD: Proposed activity may receive full or partial funding.  Grants must be used for the proposed timeframe; significant deviations will need to be approved in advance. 
 
REPORT: Applicants will be required to turn in a summary of international activity within 30 days of travel
