Alumni Development – Students will have access to an "alumni" wingate.edu email address after graduation (August)! You will be able to stay in contact with your classmates and receive alumni news! Please contact Suzanne Philemon at 704-233-8303 for more information.
Bookstore -- Students order their caps and gowns through the bookstore. You must provide your weight and height. If you cannot visit the bookstore, you can email Cindy Jordan at jordan@wingate.edu or call her at 704-233-8025.
Business Office – Make sure your balance is cleared prior to April 29 if you wish to participate in Commencement. Please contact the Business Office at 704-233-8211 for more information regarding your balance.
Career Development - The Office of Internships and Career Development is available to assist you with your resume, interview skills, and graduate school information. Visit the Career Development website for upcoming events/workshops that will help prepare you for life after Wingate.
Financial Planning – If you have a student loan, you must complete exit loan paperwork. You can complete your exit loan counseling at
studentloans.gov. Please complete this information by Nov. 15 for December graduates and April 15 for May and August graduates. For more information, please contact the Financial Planning Office at 704-233-8209.
Herff Jones, Inc. – If you would like to order personalized announcements (that include your name, degree, major, etc.), please do so by mid to late March! You may go online to www.herffjones.com/college/wingate to order your personalized announcements. You may also order your class ring and other "graduation items" through Herff Jones. Once you log onto Herff Jones' website, click on Wingate University to view our announcements. Please allow enough time to process your order and to mail your announcements to your family and friends. (It generally takes 3-4 weeks to process an order.)
If Its Digital – A photographer will be available to take graduation photos. A cap and gown is provided for the photograph.
Library – The Library staff conducts a survey from the attendees to make the library a better place for everyone.
Lyceum Events -- A representative from the Office of Academic Affairs will be present and can confirm the number of Lyceum events you have attended. A schedule of future Lyceum events will also be available.
Registrar's Office - The Registrar's Office verifies the spelling of names for diplomas and the Commencement program. A packet of information is given to attendees. It includes a general information letter, helpful websites, Graduation Checklist, Frequently Asked Questions, and a Transcript Request Form. If you are unable to attend, you may pick one up after the event in the Registrar's Office. If you have any questions/concerns regarding your degree audit or Commencement, please contact Maria Taylor at 704-233-8393.
Senior Class Gift -- A source of pride for every graduating class is the Senior Class Gift. If you would like to make a donation, or use your deposit as a donation, a class representative will be present to complete a donor card.

Important Dates for Commencement 2013:
May 10 – Senior Brunch and Graduation Practice. The Senior Brunch is at 9 a.m. Graduation Practice is mandatory and begins at around 10 a.m. and lasts a couple of hours.
May 11 – Commencement: The ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. Graduating students will line up between the Library and Wingate Baptist Church at 8:30 a.m. Graduate Education and MBA students will receive their graduate hoods at an event prior to Commencement morning. Pharmacy students will also receive their hoods at a hooding ceremony prior to Commencement ceremony.
