Since 2009, Wingate University students, faculty, and staff have come together to share a common reading. The WiRE or Wingate Reading Experience, is selected yearly by a committee in order to facilitate campus discussion around a common text. Every Fall, the author of the WiRE text visits the Wingate campus for classroom talks, an open lecture, Friends of the Library luncheon, and book signings. This provides an excellent opportunity for all community members to broaden and enrich their personal and academic journey.
