Can I get in?
We recommend that our incoming transfer students have at least a 2.5 cumulative college GPA. However, at Wingate, you’ll never be characterized as just a number or statistic. We believe you are a unique individual with your own story and we want to know it. Our goal is to help you find the college that fits you best. So, apply. Allow us to connect with you so that we can move forward together.
Can I afford it?
The cost of a Wingate education can be competitive with North Carolina’s public institutions. You may be surprised to learn that as a private institution, 95% of our incoming students receive financial aid. We automatically consider our admitted students for scholarships and no separate application is needed! We also create financial estimates as early as September and official packages by late February. Fill out the FAFSA4caster and FAFSA, share your family’s personal financial aid information with us and we will calculate various sources of aid available and give you the bottom line cost. So, let’s get started.

Will my credits transfer?
Wingate University has signed an articulation agreement with North Carolina Community Colleges. Students who complete an A.A. or A.S. degree will have many of those credits apply to Wingate's Core (foundational requirements). See the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) for more information. All NC community colleges share a common course numbering system. Our NC community college Transfer Guide outlines many of the credits that will transfer to Wingate.
