Wingate Faces

Eric Osterhus

Eric Osterhus arrived to Wingate University as a freshman in 2005. Seven years, two Wingate degrees, and two University jobs later, he's still here. "I love Wingate," he said. "As soon as you step on campus as a freshman, you feel like you belong here."

Osterhus graduated from Wingate with a business management degree in May 2009. In August of the same year, he started graduate school at Wingate and began his three year career as an undergraduate admissions counselor. Osterhus graduated with his MBA in 2011 and continued his work as an admissions counselor until August 2012. "I loved my undergrad at Wingate," he said. "My favorite part was the people I got to know. I made lifelong friends through being involved in student government and my fraternity."

This past August, Osterhus transitioned roles at Wingate. He is now the Assistant Director of the Annual Fund. "I'm excited about my new role because I get to explain the importance of the Annual Fund to fellow alumni," he said. "Every student who has passed through Wingate has probably been helped by the Annual Fund at some point in their four years here." The Annual Fund supports four primary initiatives: Scholarships, Internships, Global Studies and Community Service.
