Each year during Homecoming, Wingate University honors outstanding alumni during the Alumni Awards Banquet. These alumni are exemplary in their personal and professional lives, dedicated to the well-being of their communities, successful and respected in their chosen careers, appreciative of Wingate University's positive impact on young men and women, and committed to the university's growth and development.

Award Criteria

The Honorary Alumni Award  honors individuals who are not graduates of Wingate University but have taken active roles in university life and contributed to its success.

The Young Alumni Award  honors alumni who have grown professionally and personally in a short period after graduation and who have made a significant impact on his or her community.

The Distinguished Alumni Award  honors alumni who, through professional excellence and personal dedication, have been leaders in their communities.
