Campaign 2012 is the University’s five-year fundraising campaign
which has two goals.
The first goal is a capital campaign for $15 million to build a
Health Sciences Center for the College of Health Sciences. The
Center will house the School of Pharmacy, the Department of
Physician Assistants Education, and the University’s School of
Graduate and Adult Education. The Center will include classrooms
and facilities with a teaching/learning capacity of 1,250 students.
This is the most ambitious capital project in University history.
The second goal of Campaign 2012 is to build the University’s
endowment to $40 million. The increasing demand for merit and
scholarship assistance by our students in a highly competitive
college and university marketplace requires a significant boost in
the University’s endowment. A significant endowment eases the
University’s dependence upon student enrollment and buffers the
institution against the infrequent enrollment decline, provides the
means for the growth and development of academic programs as well as
support services, and supports the maintenance and expansion of a
growing campus.
A third goal of Campaign 2012 is to secure $2.9 in funding from
private sources for a 72-bed residential apartment complex.
The university's enrollment has increased 25% over three years.
Additional infrastructure is needed to accommodate the strong growth
in the undergraduate student population.
Gifts and pledges are being sought for Campaign
2012. Information you may wish to share about your own intentions
to invest in Wingate’s future by participating in Campaign 2012, or
information you may wish to share about possible alumni and friends
donors will be much appreciated.
