About Activities
Activities at Wingate University are headed by the Bulldog Activities Resource Committee and handled through the Office of Campus Life. BARC was established in 2010 to help distribute the portion of the Student Government Association fees designated for campus programming. The primary purpose of this committee is to increase student engagement and leadership in campus programming by providing the funding and oversight necessary for success.
BARC is comprised of seven student members, the Graduate Assistant for Campus Life and a staff advisor. The voting student members are the committee chair (designated as the SGA Activities Coordinator), a representative from the Bulldog Club who represents athletic interests, a representative from the Ad-Team and a representative from each of the four organizational classifications: social Greek, sports and recreation, academic/co-curricular and faith based.
