Church Relations @ Wingate

April provided numerous opportunities for the University family to nurture its historic tie with the church.

Dr. Jesse Croom, past President of the Council on Christian Higher Education, BSCNC, spoke during Founders' Day on April 3.  In addition, the University recognized the Class of '42 and thirty churches cited in the 1942 annual, THE GATE, for their support of Wingate Junior College during that troubled period.

Mrs. Ruby Fulbright, Executive Director of Woman's Missionary Union of NC, presented the Baccalaureate address to our seniors.

April 29 marked a first as Wingate observed "SeniorFest," an event designed for senior adults.

In addition, the University's Board of Ministers met for presentations by members from the staff of the N.C. Baptist Hospital.

This fall, the University will host its annual "Church Youth Day" for churches throughout the region.  We hope your church will join us for this great event.

We are working on other initiatives that will be of interest to you.  Keep checking back or drop me an  email.  I'll place you on my distribution list for updates along the way.  Until later.....
