Veterans, and dependents of veterans, who are eligible for VA educational benefits can use those benefits to attend Wingate University. Contact the VA or visit the GI Bill website to determine eligibility. VA education benefit programs include the Montgomery GI Bill and the Post-9/11 GI Bill, as well as programs for reservists and dependents. Current benefits could provide up to $19,198.31 per year for tuition and fees, up to $1,000 towards textbooks, and a housing allowance of approximately $1100/month for eligible veterans and/or their dependents. Check VA Rate Tables for current payment rates for each VA program.
In addition, Wingate participates in The Yellow Ribbon Program which seeks to make a college education more affordable for veterans and their families who attend private universities where tuition and fees exceed the maximum allowed benefit. Veterans (or dependents with transferred benfits) attending full-time and using the Post-9/11 GI Bill are eligible for Yellow Ribbon benefits of $1000/year at Wingate, in addition to the benefits received for tuition, housing, and textbooks.
