Bachelor Degree Program for Working Adults Curriculum
Wingate University's Adult Bachelor Degree is a Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS), which is especially designed for adult students who are interested in a personal curriculum and for individuals whose college careers may have been interrupted.  For many students who attended one or more institutions in the past, this allows for the application of previously-earned college credits toward a Wingate degree without having to start over in a different major. 

The degree curriculum consists of the following:

  • A minimum of 120 total credit hours
  • General Education Core Curriculum
    • Global Perspectives (15 credits)
    • University Foundations (17 credits minimum)
  • Major - Choose one:
    • Organizational Communication and Management (30 credits)
    • Human Services (36 credits)
  • Electives (50-58 credits)
    • Students must choose a combination of general (100/200) level and advanced (300/400) level electives
  • Advanced Credit Hours Requirement
    •  A minimum of 40 hours of the 120 total credit hours need to be at the 300/400 level.
  • Exit Exams
    • Students must pass Major exit examinations
