"A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be chosen as Teacher of the Year at my school. As I went to the zone interview to compete against 31 other teachers, I was asked many questions which I would not have normally been prepared for. Fortunately, I thought back to lessons in research with Dr. White, lessons in principalling with Dr. Watkins and lessons in Curriculum with Dr. Jones. I was fortunate enough to receive the East Zone Teacher of the Year Award and much of it is due to Wingate University. I have used knowledge gained through your program throughout the year and I feel that I am a better teacher and better man because of it.
I appreciate all you do to lead and the work you put in behind the scenes to make the Educational Leadership program the success that it has been and will be."

Personal attention:
"Words cannot express how grateful I am to you for meeting with me to share strategies, discuss possible project topics and offer advice on how to improve my writing skills as I matriculate through the doctoral program. I am indebted to you for sacrificing your time to meet with me."

"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thanks again for teaching a great class. You really enabled me to learn and challenge myself. I also appreciate your hospitality and allowing us to come to your home to meet your family and have a wonderful dinner. The final game was also fun and challenging. If you haven't noticed, I enjoy a good challenge!"
