Internship Type: Special Events Intern
Job Functions: The intern will assist in event planning with
any or all of the following events: Heroes Campaign,
Rhapsody in Red, Go for Blood Bike Tour and 5K, and
Christmas Gift Wrap Booth. Duties include attending & participating in committee meetings, solicitation of
sponsorships, raffle prizes, auction items among other responsibilities. Job functions will include taking direction
from staff, assisting with various aspects of event planning an event management, and assisting with events as needed.

Employer: American Red Cross Union County Chapter
Internship Type: Human Services Record Keeping and Research Intern
Job Functions: The general purpose of this job is to assist
with daily record keeping responsibilities of chapter. The fundamental job duties include providing data entry and
record keeping for chapter program staff, these programs are the Volunteer Human Capital Services System, Learning Management System-Health and Safety Services, Client Assistance Services(CAS)-Disaster Response, Armed Forces Emergency Services-AFES WEB. Other job duties include to master WEBI Report system and pull electronic reports as needed, and to assist program staff with developing client surveys, tallying surveys, and electronically preparing
schedules to report survey results for both program planning
and funding. The marginal job duties include helping with
various Health Fairs, answering office phones, and providing office coverage.

Internship Type: Development & Marketing Intern
Job Functions: The general purpose of this job is to allow a college student to experience working in public affairs and the marketing department of a social services organization. The intern will assist the department with public relations,
media and marketing projects where there is a need and an interest. (For example, promotions, public relations, public speaking engagements, media relations.)
The essential job functions include helping coordinate
volunteer participation in Speakers Bureau, managing monthly blood schedule news release to media, writing news releases, tracking and filing media clips and updating news release
library, coordinating internal newsletters and updates,
supporting marketing communications brochures, direct mail, newsletters, etc.), performing all aspects of tasks and projects in a timely fashion, and at the completion of tenure, leaving information in a usable form for continued use by other
staff and volunteers.

Description: Clear Channel Radio Charlotte and
WRFX 99.7 The FOX Internship Program offers you the opportunity to experience and learn all about the mechanics
of the radio industry. We offer a well-rounded internship
experience with participation in Promotions, Programming,
Sales, Accounting and Production. The internship program extends through 1 semester of the year. All students applying must be able to receive college credit for the program. As part of the FOX team, you will participate in all of the daily functions inside and outside the radio station including...On-site FOX promotions, remotes, ticket stops, movie premieres, appearances, and of course, concerts. Assist in executing all station contests and prize giveaways. Attend weekly promotion meetings and creative sessions. Coordinate on-site events. Maintain and update station website, and respond to listener email. Assist account executives and sales assistants in
carrying out client needs, in addition to observing sales calls. Assist in the daily responsibilities of the programming department. Help the production department in fulfilling production responsibilities. Attend weekly intern meetings with guest speakers from the industry. Email cover letter and

Internship Type: Event Manager Intern
Job Function:The intern will be expected to provide support
 to the event managers. This support will include:
Research and procurement of event requirements
Formulation of event design
Customer service including but not limited to tours of the
on-site facility, greeting of clients, and answering of phones
Creation of proposals, contracts, vendor confirmations and load/event sheets
Observation and recording of client meetings regarding
possible and upcoming events
Development of business through updating of contact list
On-site management and coordination

Employer: Patuxent Research Refuge
Internship Type: Environmental Interpretation
Job Function:
Provide quality educational experiences for all visitors to the National Wildlife Visitor Center and Patuxent Research Refuge through developing and conducting interpretive and educational programs for all ages, leading interpretive tram tours focusing on wildlife management and research, working with Scout groups, and assisting with all operations of a visitor center.  Work schedule will include weekends (two days off during week), and some holidays.
