What is a Living Learning Community?
A living learning community is a program designed to provide
distinctive settings where the students’ academic and/or co
curricular success is supported through residential experiences.
Living learning communities focus on learning outside the classroom.
The purpose of Living Learning Communities is to promote success
of our students by offering learning opportunities outside the
classroom.
Goals of the Living Learning Community:
- Contribute to the student’s
- Help with the adjustment to college
- Focus on academic and co curricular achievement in a
productive and supportive setting
- Foster the joining of the scholarly and social aspects of
student life
- Promote collaboration among faculty, staff and students
Establish strong relationships with other students and with
faculty
