There are currently four sororities on the Wingate University campus. Chi Omega was chartered in March of 1993, followed by Sigma Sigma Sigma in April. The pair reigned as the only women's organizations on campus until Alpha Xi Delta joined the university's Greek community in September of 2002. Zeta Phi Beta, Wingate's only NPHC sorority, was chartered in October of 2003.
