Community College Partnerships
and the Gateway Scholarship

A bachelor’s degree is an important investment in your future. We know time and money are at a premium. That’s why we designed this opportunity for you. Eligible candidates who are accepted to the Wingate Online program can complete a bachelor’s degree at Wingate for $2,500 per year or less. Qualifications include:

  • You have earned or will have earned your associate’s degree from Blue Ridge Community College, South Piedmont Community College, Stanly Community College, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College or Central Piedmont Community College
  • You have applied and been admitted to the Wingate Online program
  • You are an adult student who is 24 years or older and are pursuing the Wingate Online program

Next Stop: TEACH UCPS

Next Stop: Teach UCPS has four pathways; three for high school students and one for current instructional assistants who intend to pursue careers as licensed teachers. Current UCPS high school students can begin taking classes in ninth grade, earn an associate's degree from South Piedmont Community College, and then enroll in the Road to Wingate program to complete a bachelor's degree.

HBCU Connect

Do you attend North Carolina A&T University, Johnson C. Smith University or Winston Salem University? You may be eligible for the Wingate HBCU Connect program to earn a master's degree in sport management and receive the following benefits:

  • Priority admission
  • $1,000 tuition incentive
  • Access to support staff, programming and services
  • Live office hours
