Senior Summer Coble won $2,000 at the annual competition for her Casa Comfort business, just ahead of a pitch for a beachside well-being facility for pets.
The Porter B. Byrum School of Business has been an active partner with Soles4Souls since 2017. Students in the WELL 105: Personal Wellness and Entrepreneurial Mindset course manage the shoe drives on Wingate's campus. Students measure their impact based on how many shoes have been collected, number of pounds not sent to a landfill and the value of shoes donated.
