Music

Welcome to the Wingate University Department of Music! We celebrate both our rich tradition of music-making and our important work of cultivating leaders in the field of music. As we recognize our student's diverse backgrounds, gifts and talents, we guide them to excel in all that they do. From Grammy winners to teachers widely-recognized for their success; from church music leaders to music industry professionals, our alumni show evidence of the impact that a Wingate education has had on them. We encourage you to explore our offerings and come visit us on campus to see for yourself.

Wingate University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), and is widely recognized as one of the finest programs among liberal arts universities in the Southeast. Our students and ensembles have performed at state (NCMEA), regional (ACDA) and national (CBDNA) conferences. We have 100% job placement for our music education graduates, and many of our graduates have continued on to graduate school, including such esteemed programs as The Ohio State University, Louisiana State University and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
