Music Education
Bachelor of Music Education
The music education degree gives students the skills and expertise to effectively teach choral, instrumental, and general music to grades K-12.
Our music education program offers one of the most comprehensive curriculums in the Southeast, emphasizing active-based learning and incorporating service learning. Each semester, education courses include field experiences in successful local school music programs. A unique feature of our program is that all music education students will teach and conduct a piece with the university ensemble before starting their student teaching. This practical experience prepares them for success in the classroom.
