Wingate University’s business programs have received reaffirmation of their national accreditation, according to the Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Business professor in front of class“We are proud that the ACBSP has examined the Byrum School of Business and reaffirmed our undergraduate and graduate business programs,” says Peter Frank, dean of the Porter B. Byrum School of Business. “This demonstrates to our students and stakeholders that we are committed to providing an excellent business education for the leaders of today and tomorrow.”

Wingate’s Byrum School of Business offers bachelor’s degrees in accounting, finance, management and marketing; as well as a Master of Accounting degree at the campus in Wingate, and an MBA, with six concentrations, at the University’s campus in Ballantyne in south Charlotte.

ACBSP is the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels. Accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes meet the ACBSP’s rigorous educational standards. Wingate University was first accredited by the ACBSP in 1996. Universities must go through the reaffirmation process every 10 years to maintain accreditation.

“This reaffirmation of accreditation is evidence that Wingate University is committed to maintaining the highest-quality business education for their students for the next 10 years, just as they have done since 1996,” says Steve Parscale, the chief accreditation officer of the ACBSP.

The Byrum School of Business is only one of many Wingate University programs that meet accreditation standards. Visit Wingate Accreditations to learn about other programs’ accreditations.
