Camp Bulldog

ABOUT CAMP BULLDOG

Camp Bulldog is an optional extended orientation experience that provides new Bulldogs with amazing opportunities. The program helps incoming students meet other new Bulldogs, develop leadership skills and jump-start their involvement at Wingate University.

Throughout the weekend, students participate in team-building activities, group initiative activities, leadership training, and learn the history of Wingate University and its traditions.

Students leave Camp Bulldog ready to hit the ground running when they arrive at Wingate University in August. Students who participate can become leaders on our campus their very first day.

WHY CAMP BULLDOG?

Camp Bulldog is open to first-year and transfer students with a passion for leadership who want to become engaged on campus. In addition to learning more about Wingate University and further developing your leadership skills, you can connect with other new students who are looking to become Top Bulldogs.

CAMP BULLDOG 2020

We realize that your senior year hasn’t ended the way you’d planned. Know that Wingate’s Office of New Student Orientation is determined to make the next step on your academic journey, the transition to university life, as smooth as possible. Initially, we’ll have to do that from afar. Meeting new students and their families on campus each summer is our favorite part of the year, but with the University’s decision to move all summer classes online, we felt we needed to make a call on our summer transition programs sooner rather than later. With that in mind, Camp Bulldog has been canceled for 2020. For up-to-date information from the University regarding its COVID-19 response, please visit wingate.edu/coronavirus.
